Giant Panda in Hong Kong
BACK

Hong Kong people are so lucky. In such a small and busy city, we are still able to keep tight contact with the nature. The diversity of species is very rich in Hong Kong with the good conservation of forests. However, it is not possible to keep the beautiful nature ever young as the non-stop demanding of land! We understand the complexity of a modern city to be. But it is also important to try our best to conserve the nature. Otherwise, our next generations will miss much more wonderful things. They may not know how a tadpole looks like and how a bird sings.

Education is important! We are responsible to educate the young generations to treasure the nature. However, it is really not an easy job.

In my visit to the Pandas in the Ocean Park of Hong Kong, I experienced how people behaved regardless to the simple rule: not to disturb the Panda. They made noise without any concern of the environment. It makes me sad why Hong Kong people can't behave well. Fortunately, I could also see that some young parents were trying to teach their child to behave rightly.

Conservation is a long run. Education is the main key to success. In the coming centuries, rescuing the animals and species would be an important mission of human beings.
